Kings & Clean provides domestic, deep, end-of-tenancy, Airbnb and commercial cleaning services across Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding Essex area.

This policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, contact us, make or manage a booking, receive our services, deal with us as a supplier or raise a complaint.

For UK data-protection purposes, Kings & Clean is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This means we decide why and how that information is used.

If we need to know about an allergy, health-related product restriction or another sensitive matter to provide the service safely, give us only the information that is necessary. We will handle it with additional care and use it only for that purpose.

SOURCES

How we receive your information

We usually receive information directly from you through our website, email, telephone, WhatsApp, social media or in person. We may also receive booking information from an authorised landlord, letting agent, Airbnb host, business contact or another person arranging a service for you.

If someone gives us another person’s details, they should have authority to do so and should make this policy available to that person.

SHARING & PROCESSORS

Who may receive your information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where reasonably necessary, including with:

  • authorised Kings & Clean team members who need the information to deliver or manage your service;
  • website, email, cloud-storage, communications and IT providers, including Squarespace and WhatsApp/Meta where you choose those services;
  • payment, bookkeeping, accounting and professional advisers used to run the business;
  • specialist subcontractors where agreed or reasonably required for a booked service;
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, insurers or advisers where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
  • a buyer or successor if the business is reorganised, transferred or sold, subject to appropriate confidentiality.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we rely on an approved adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual protections.

RETENTION

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including legal, accounting, safety and dispute requirements. Our normal guide is:

We may keep information for a shorter or longer period where appropriate, for example when required by law, a dispute is ongoing or records are no longer needed.

How we protect information

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people who reasonably need it for their role.

No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal-data breach creates a legal reporting obligation, we will notify the relevant authority and affected people as required.

These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. We may ask for information to verify your identity before acting on a request. We normally respond within one month unless the law allows more time.

Please explain what happened, which information is involved, what outcome you are seeking and provide relevant supporting material. We may need to verify your identity or authority to act for someone else.

2InvestigationWe will take appropriate steps to investigate without undue delay and keep you informed.
